I ran across some pictures of Carrie Underwood. She has some rockin’ legs.
So I looked up what sort of exercises she does. I even found some on Pinterest. I’d never tried many of these movements in a workout, but I love changing it up. Doing the same exercises all the time gets super boring. (Am I right?) I experimented on my sister last night with those workout. At first, Ceci thought she wouldn’t be able to do them. But she was amazing. We both woke up really sore. My glutes (butt muscles) are on fire this morning. So are Ceci’s.
The coolest thing about this leg workout is that it only took ten minutes to do!
Here’s the workout:
- 20 lateral lunges on each side with weight. (We used 10 pounds, but you can use 5 pounds. If that’s too hard don’t use any weight.)
- 20 squat-to-lunge on each side.
- 10 skater hops on each side.
Repeat these exercises 4 times.
Go through these movments one after the other. You can take 10 seconds to rest in between the sets, but try to go through the repetitions of each movement without stopping.
If you haven’t worked out in a while, take this workout and do half the repetitions of each exercise. Or instead of 4 rounds, do 2 or 3 rounds. Modify this workout as needed, but try it. We loved it.
